Chocolate “Valentine” Sugar Cookies from a Cake Mix

Heart shaped sugar cookies are synonymous with Valentine’s Day for me. But last year, I just didn’t want to spend the time making sugar cookies. And to be honest, I just like chewy chocolate cookies so much better than regular sugar cookies! So I made these “chocolate sugar cookies” from a devil’s food cake mix! They were so easy and so yummy that I think I created a new Valentine’s Day tradition!

I like to frost these with cream cheese frosting. Last year I used ready-made. This year, I think I’ll make homemade because I have finally perfected the way I like my cream cheese frosting!

Enjoy!
