I love basic recipes like this where I can make a lot of something and use it as a base for several different meals throughout the week. It makes meal planning and preparing meals so much easier!
This meat can be used for:
Tacos
Salads
Enchiladas
Burritos
Frozen burritos
Flatbread sandwhiches
Beef with gravy over rice
French Dip
Philly Steak Sandwhiches
Stuffed baked potatoes

- 3-5 lb chuck roast
- Season All and/or Garlic Salt or desired seasonings
- 1 c beef broth or water
Ingredients

- Cut roast in 4-5 pieces. Season generously on all sides.
- Set instant pot to saute’. Brown on all sides. Pour broth or water around sides of the meat. Make sure valve is turned to “sealing” and not “venting.” Seal lid. Set to pressure cook on high for 50 minutes. Allow pressure to release naturally. Open lid when pressure has released (pressure release valve has dropped completely). This can take 15-40 min so allow enought time. OR
- For slow cooker, cut roast in 4-5 pieces. Season generously on all sides. Place in slow cooker. Add 1-½ c beef broth or water to slow cooker. Cook on low for 7-8 hours or high for 5-6 hours.
- Shred with 2 forks.
